Women on Mission

The Women On Mission (WOM) groups of Callaway Baptist church welcome all ladies to join our meetings. The meetings are held once a month with the WOM DAY GROUP meeting on the second Tuesday of the month during the daytime and the WOM NIGHT GROUP meeting on the second Tuesday of the month in the evening.

The officers are voted on and elected by the group. All meetings provide a program and missionary prayer focus. Discussions are held to determine new mission projects and upcoming events in the church. A voluntary offering is taken each month to help support mission activities.

The main focus of the two groups is to encourage and promote missions, both foreign and home. Opportunities for mission work are numerous, including at various times, helping local agencies with food and clothing items for needy families, providing school supplies for needy children, and donating money to help local volunteer missionaries with expenses for summer mission work. The Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong offerings are organized and promoted by our WOM groups.

Under the WOM umbrella are the Mission Friends and G.A. organizations. Each group has an elected leader with the WOM Director being responsible for helping Mission Friends and G.A. leaders promote mission awareness. The young girls are encouraged to support missionaries with their prayers and to become involved in helping the WOM groups meet their annual Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong goals.
