CHURCH COUNCIL

Callaway Baptist Church has a Church Council which meets at least once a quarter or more often as needed.

The primary function of the council is to review, coordinate, and evaluate program plans recommended by the members, committees, and organizations of the church.  The church council explores and discusses ideas, resources, activities, and programs that may be implemented to further the church objectives and goals.  The council then schedules the activities and programs of the church to provide a monthly calendar of events for all the people of the church.

 Of course, all matters agreed upon by the council, calling for action not already authorized by the church, are referred to the church for approval before being implemented.

 The Callaway Baptist Church Council is composed of the following officers:  Pastor, Church Clerk, Church Treasurer, Chairman of Deacons, Sunday School Director, Church Training Director, W.O.M. Director, Brotherhood Director, Youth Leader, Children’s Leader, Children’s Church Leader, Music Director, GROW Leader, Social Committee Chairperson, Building and Grounds Chairperson, and Audio-Visual Committee Chairperson.  At the beginning of each church year, the council elects a chairperson from the above members.
